Week 16 Highlights

98 Minnesota - 41; 92 New Orleans- 42

One of the most exciting games all season, these 2 high-flying offenses engaged in a shoot-out. The Saints led 20-17 at the half, but after neither team could score in the 3rd quarter, the Win was up for grabs by anyone. So with both teams totaling 46 points in the 4th quarter, the 70,000 fans at the Superdome got an exciting show in their favor. With each team trading scores, it would be a late TD throw from Hebert to Small that would give the Saints the 1-point lead.

The Saints racked up over 560 yards total offense; with 194 yards rushing and 367 passing. This was over 100 yards more than the Vikings. Randy Moss had 126 yards receiving for the Vikings; Martin had 138 for New Orleans with 8 catches.

94 49ers- 34; 74 Cardinals - 17

79 Tampa Bay - 0; 70 Detroit - 58

Tampa Bay has struggled all year, despite showing some strengths and beating a few tough teams. Detroit has been anything but a strong competitor either, but this one-sided whipping shows they knew their way around Doug Williams and crew. With over 420 yards offense, the Lions seemed to be able to score on any possession. Add to that a 73-yard INT return as the game's first score - and it's clear the Buccs had no chance.

10 Atlanta - 14; 19 Kansas City - 35

Mahomes was 32/42 for 330 yards and 4 TD's. Kelce had a phenomenal 17 catches for 226 yards and 2 TDs.

08 Carolina - 20; 83 Washington - 28

The Redskins put up another 500 yards on offense. Theisman had 291 yards in 21 throws, but none of the scoring - leaving that to his rush attack. Washington racked up 83 yards and 2 TDs; Riggins broke 100 yards for the day.

81 Bengals - 10; 18 Texans - 18

The Texans couldn't score any TD's, but Fairbairn was 6-6 for the day.

07 Indianapolis - 23; 04 Pittsburgh - 27

The Steelers somehow manage a whopping 300+ yards rushing, and not a single rusher over 100 yards. Bettis and Haynes lead at over 90 yards, after Haynes had a 60-yarder.

84 Miami - 9; 00 Oakland - 13

08 NYG - 6;  06 Baltimore - 33

Another 400+ yard day for McNair, though his only TD was on the ground. Lewis punched in another, and Stover was on duty for 4 FG attempts. A 51 yard fumble return sealed the slaughter.

06 Chicago - 27; 05 Jacksonville - 24

87 Cleveland - 16; 98 NYJ - 34

15 Denver - 17; 06 San Diego - 27

Thomas grabbed 11 catches for 142 yards, and Manning was 55% for 279 yards. But San Diego made the most of their opportunities

99 Rams - 45; 05 Seahawks - 10

Faulk had 24 carries for 115 yards but 4 TD's. Added to Warner's 400+ yards passing and 77% completion, and the domination was in clear display.

80 Philadelphia - 20; 77 Dallas- 10

93 Oilers - 0; 01 Green Bay - 35

80 Buffalo - 16; 16 New England - 9

Week 17 Highlights

Blount had a big day with 32 rushes for 160 yards. Brady threw for almost 300 yards and 4 TDs, giving the Patriots over 500 total.

06 Baltimore - 34; 81 Cincinnati - 24

98 Minnesota - 17; 70 Detroit - 17

10 Atlanta - 0; 79 Tampa Bay - 3

The FG by Tampa was in the 2nd quarter, making for over 37 minutes of game time afterwards with no score.

77 Dallas - 10; 08 NYG - 31

Another big rushing game for the Giants, with Ward picking up 148 yards and 3 TD's; his companions picking up another 100 on the ground.

83 Washington - 26; 80 Philadelphia - 0

93 Oilers - 25; 18 Texans - 27

For the first time, the 2 Houston franchises meet each other, and though the Oilers haven't had a great season, they put up a good effort. The Texans win on a FG with 20 seconds left on the game clock. The Texans had 380+ yards passing; the Oilers over 430. Slaughter has a big day with 13 catches for 173 yards.

04 Pittsburgh - 13; 87 Cleveland - 59

Nobody knows how the Browns held the Steelers to such low scores, or racked up such high numbers against them. But somehow Kosar managed to complete 28/42 for 387 yards, and set a record with an unprecedented 8 TD passes!!! Only Webster Slaughter had over 100 yards receiving, but he matches 3 other teammates with receiving TD's.

05 Jacksonville - 26; 07 Indianapolis - 28

Wayne for Indy grabbed 11 balls from Manning for 202 yards, making over half of Manning's 354 yards for the day. Peyton's 3 TDs were offset by 3 picks, making for why the game was much closer than the numbers would seem.

84 Miami - 18; 80 Buffalo - 41

The Bills ran all over the Dolphins, not only stopping Marino's passing attack, but literally rushing for over 240 yards. Cribbs alone had 21 carries for 182 yards and 2 TDs.

06 San Diego - 7; 19 Kansas City - 35

Mahomes throws for 375 yards without a pick and 5 TD's.  Kelce and Watkins each have over 130 yards receiving.

92 New Orleans - 10; 08 Carolina - 35

The Saints continue their fall from grace, as the Panthers ran up over 270 yards offense and threw for almost as much. Williams and Stewart each ran for over 130 yards and 3 TDs among them.

01 Green Bay - 22; 06 Chicago - 21

The Packers squeak by with a 4th quarter TD, and a few critical holds on defense thereafter. Both teams fared well and performed evenly.

00 Oakland - 14; 15 Denver - 22

05 Seattle - 34; 94 San Fran - 26

74 Cardinals - 15; 99 Rams - 45

Is the Rams' dominance a surprise anymore? In the battle for St. Louis, Faulk had 23 carries for 182 yards and 3 TDs. Holt had 7 catches for 141 yards. Together they put up as much offense as the entire  Cardinals team. Warner was a smooth 81% completion with his 329 total passing yards.
